2005北欧旅行記vol.6
５月５日。
朝、さわやかに起床（笑）。意外と船での旅行、快適です。よく眠れたし。
朝食は、バイキング。バイキングラインの船のマークの入ったお皿でいただきます。大きな窓があり、船が進んでいる様子が分かります。晴れていたら、もっと気持ちが良かっただろうな。。。ほんと残念。
朝食を終え、荷造りをしていると、窓の外には徐々に懐かしいヘルシンキの風景が。１年ぶりのフィンランド。うん、変わってない（笑）！スオメリンナのそばを通り、大聖堂に向かって進み到着。バイキングラインは、マーケット広場の隣に着きます。
港に降り立って、フィンランドの空気を感じます。『懐かしい・・・』まずそう思いました。２回目なのですけどね（笑）。
このとき、持っていた現金は日本円を除いては、４ユーロくらい。港で両替するつもりが、開いていなかったのです。トラムに大人ふたりは乗れるだろうと思って、そのままトラム乗り場へ。みんな並んでいるのですが、なかなかトラムがきません。１０分ほどしたら、次々にみんなタクシーに乗っていってしまうではありませんか！時刻表見ても、フィンランド語は分かるはずもなく、どうしたもんかと思っていると、一緒に並んでいたおばさまが「祝日はこのトラムは走っていないんですってよ〜！あなたちもタクシー乗っていきなさい」と教えてもらいました。一応、国際線の港なんですけど・・・祝日はトラムが走らないなんて・・・。さすがフィンランド。さっそくフィンランドの洗礼を浴びた気が（笑）。現金を持っていなかった私たちだったので、恐る恐るタクシーの運転手に「カード使えますか？」と聞くと即答で「ＯＫ！」と。ホッ。ここでもさすがフィンランド。カード社会だけあります。無事に、ホテルまで移動できました（笑）。
今回の旅も、昨年居心地の良かったラディソンＳＡＳプラザホテルに宿泊。特に指定はしていなかったのですが、フロントで「ノルディックタイプの部屋にしてください」と言うと「もちろん！」ということで、ノルディックタイプの部屋に即チェックイン。アアルトチェアもちゃんとありました♪
ホテルに荷物を置き、一休みした後、早めのお昼を食べるため、エスプラナーディ通りへ。カフェで簡単なランチをすませ、ウィンドウショッピングをした後（この日は祝日のため、もちろんどこもショップは閉まっていました。やっぱりフィンランドだわ・笑）、アアルトハウスへ。みなさんオススメなので、今回の予定の中でも楽しみにしていたところ。しかも、祝日でも開館しているし！
アアルトハウスまでは４番トラムで２０分強乗り、大きな川を渡ってすぐの停留所で降ります。と、フロントの方に教えていただいたのですが、実際には川を渡って２つ目の停留所で降りると近いです。ちなみに、開館時間は1３時・１４時・・・と１時間おきです(時期・曜日によって時間が違うようなので行く前にご確認くださいね）。ぴったりに行かないと入れてくれません。５分くらい前に着いた私たちは、もちろん外で待っていました。
さて、肝心のアアルトハウスですが、そんなに大きくない家なのにすごく空間の使い方が上手な家。１階も２階もリビングを中心に構成されていて、ところどころ日本の建築様式が取り入れられています。アアルトは日本にも興味があったらしく、本棚の中にも日本の古い本らしきものが置いてありました。もちろん、アアルトのタンクチェアを中心にアアルト作品の家具がほどよく配置されています。もちろん、テーブルにはサヴォイベース♪ダイニングの食器棚には奥さんのアイノの作品も飾ってあります。飴色のアイノグラス、素敵でした・・・。
２階は寝室・子供たちの部屋などがやはりリビングを中心に配置されています。子供部屋がそんなに大きくないのですが、それぞれ個性がでています。
２階からはテラスにでることもできるのですが、庭が一望でき、ＢＢＱもできそうな広いスペース。
光の取り入れ方も工夫が凝らされていて、こんな家に住みたい！と心底思いました。
アアルトハウスを後にして、トラムに乗りシベリウス公園へ。途中、迷子の猫ちゃんに会いました。フィンランドでは、猫はすべて室内飼いだそうで、もちろん私も２度の旅行中で初めての遭遇。無事におうちに帰れたかな？！飼い主らしき人がいたから大丈夫でしょう、きっと。
シベリウス公園は、フィンランドの偉大な作曲家シベリウスを記念して作られた公園。シベリウスの顔の像と、ステンレスパイプのモニュメントがあります。
ここの公園に公衆トイレがあるのですが、その仕組みがすごいのです。後々知ったのですが、フィンランドの公衆トイレは市の建設局とパソコンで常時接続されていて、使用中かどうか、正常に作動しているか監視されているそうです。（もちろん、中には監視カメラはありません）自動ドアだし、使用後は床と便座が殺菌までされるそう。このトイレを体験したダンナは「宇宙に飛ばされそうだった」というほど微妙な空間だったらしいのですが。
シベリウス公園を後にし、テンペキアウキオ教会へ。岩をくり抜いて作った教会。想像以上に素敵な場所で、椅子に座ってしばしぼんやりとしてしまいました。パイプオルガンの音が心地よく響いて、天窓から光が差し込んで、ここだけ空気が違っているようです。この日は祝日のせいか、何組も結婚式をあげるカップルがいました。式をしている間も観光客が見学でき、一緒に祝福をすることができます。（もちろん、お邪魔にならないようにですが）私も、こんなところで式を挙げてみたかったなぁ。。。
この日の夕飯は、「ロッタの北欧スケッチ旅行」に出ていたお店、「シーホース」へ。壁面に描かれたシーホースが印象的。とてもアットホームな雰囲気のお店で、家族つれ、年配のご夫婦、若いカップルや仲間同士、なかにはひとりで来ている人も。もちろん食事がとっても美味しい！！そしてなにより量が多い！！！ひとり前菜とメインを１品ずつ頼んだだけなのに、苦しくて動けなくなるほどの量でした。ちなみに、お店に入って、本を広げてこれと同じものが欲しいと伝えると、お店の方が「ぜひ、厨房にもこの本を持っていって見せたいのだけどいいか？」と言われました。本に載っていたことが嬉しかったのでしょうか？すごくサービスも良くて、足りないものはない？と常に気を配ってくれました♪もちろん、本を持っていかずとも親切なお店であることは分かりましたが、異国の地でちょっとした歓迎がとっても嬉しかったデス。（残したら失礼と頑張って食べたので辛かったのですが・・・笑）
帰りは、腹ごなしにまだ明るい街を散策しながら帰りました。
１年ぶりといえども、さほど大きくない街に加えて、昨年歩き倒したおかげで、今年はすんなり街歩きができました。ヘルシンキ１日目からなかなかの充実。旅行者にもやさしい街って感じでホント好きです、この国。
