ROYAL COPENHAGENのティーセット
1775年、王室御用達窯として創設されたロイヤルコペンハーゲン。ペインターをはじめとする熟練職人の手によるその技術は、2世紀を超えたいまでも受け継がれています。世界で最も古い窯だそうです。
私は持っているのは、ハーフレースのシリーズ。フルレースでは、ちょっと私には敷居が高い気がして、とはいえ、プレインだとちょっと寂しい気がしてハーフレース。ずっと好きだったのですか、一気に揃えるにはとても手が出なかったので、結婚が決まる前からティーカップをコツコツ１客ずつ揃えていました。4客集めたところで結婚、その後２客は、友人夫婦がデンマークに旅行に行った際、ロイヤルコペンハーゲンのアウトレットで購入してきてくれました♪アウトレットといっても、シロウト目には差は分からず。しかも、友人のだんな様がこまかくチェックをしてくれたものだけに、状態もバッチリ。
ティーポットは、当時、航空会社に勤めていた友人が会社の社員販売で安く手に入れてもらったものです。これまた、なかなか高くて手が出なかったティーポットでしたが、かなり格安で購入できました。母は、その際、ロイヤルコペンハーゲンの湯のみセットを購入。いづれ、わたしが欲しいと狙っています（笑）。
26ｃｍ皿は、結婚祝いに友人たちから頂いたものです。もちろん、わたしがロイヤルコペンハーゲンを集めているのを知っていて。結婚後、いろいろな友人が訪ねて来てくれた際、ケーキなどを出す際に、とっても重宝しています。いつかは、自分で焼いたホールケーキをのせて、お客様にお出しできたらいいのでしょうが、ずいぶん先になりそうです。（料理は好きですが、お菓子作りの道具はいっさい持っていないので！・苦笑）
あとは、いつかデンマークへ行って、ハーフレースのケーキ皿と、最近気になっているMEGAシリーズが欲しいな。。。（まだ買うの？って言わないで〜！！）
最後に、トレードマークの由来がロイヤルコペンハーゲンのHPに載っていて、面白かったので紹介します。
マークの大冠と3本のブルーラインは、発足時にジュリアン・マリー皇太后、ご自身により提案されたものだそうです。大冠は王室との深い結びつきを、3本の波線はデンマークを囲む3つの主要な海峡、大ベルト・小ベルト・大スンド海峡を表しているそうです。
どのメーカーもそうですが、ロゴにはいろんな意味が込められているのですね。ロイヤルコペンハーゲンは、その歴史の中で、ずっと変わらない伝統を守っていて、ほんとみんなが憧れる理由が判ります。
